PROSPECTUS

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The new academic session starts from  April. Students seeking admission to various classes are required to get themselves registered for admission. The registration / admission will begin from mid February.

1.     Registration for admission starts from the month of February onwards. At the time of submission of registration form a date is given for interview /test as the case may be. Registration forms are available on payment of Rs. 100/- at the office counter on all working days from 09.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

2.     Registration is no guarantee for admission.

3.     Admission to school is through:

(a)   Admission test / interview up-to class IX & for class XI on the basis of marks obtained in class X & interview.

(b)   10% admissions reserved for  SC/ST/OBC candidates.

4.     The school will conduct admission test on the dates notified by the Principal.

5.     All necessary documents such as progress report, T.C. of the previous school, original birth certificate and 2-passport size photographs are to be attached with the admission form. T. C. is to be countersigned by the competent authority.

6.     For admission to class VI the child must have attained 10+ at the time of admission. The age for other classes will be regulated accordingly.

7.     Repeaters of Board's Exams may be given re-admission.

8.     Provisional admission in class XI may be granted to students by approval of the principal.

NOTE :       Subjects once offered will not be changed under any circumstance in class XI and in class XII after 31st August.

 

ATTENDANCE

 

It is compulsory for every student to attain 90% attendance in every class. This percentage can however be relaxed on medical grounds only, but in no case the attendance should be below 75%. Student absenting himself without leave except due to sickness supported with M. C. will be liable to pay Rs. 5/- per day as fine. In case seven days continuous absence re-admission fee will be Rs. 100/-

Student coming late (after starting of the assembly) will be sent back home.

 

PROCEDURE FOR WITHDRAWAL

 

A student who is withdrawn from the school due to any of the following reasons will be required to produce a no-dues certificate from all concerned to obtain transfer certificate:

a)     Acts of Indiscipline

b)     Irregular attendance / short attendance

c)     Unsatisfactory progress in academics

d)     On the request of the parent

e)     Withdrawal from Hostel / School.

 

TRANSPORT

 

1.     Transport may be provided.

2.     Availability of transport facility entirely depends on the scheduled timings and location.

3.     The transport may be run for the convenience of children without any liability whatsoever on the part of the authorities of the school.

4.     However possible care will be taken for its proper running. There may be occasions when transport does not reach on time due to mechanical breakdown or some other unavoidable reason. On such occasions parents are requested to make alternative arrangement.

5.     Any change of residence, does not guarantee continuity of transport service and the parents must make their own arrangements.

NOTE : Transport fee is subject to revision since it depends on escalation of fuel prices
 

PAYMENT OF FEE

 

1.     Tuition fee is payable for the whole session i.e. April to March.

2.     Acceptance of fee will be only either by DD/ Cash. In case of DD Payable in favour of "MAHARISHI VIDYA MANDIR FEE A/C" between 9.30 am to 1.30 p.m. (Saturday 9.30  to 11.30 a.m.). DD received after due date will be charged fine.

3.     First installment of fee with annual fee is to be paid only in the school office.

4.     Fee will be collected only on producing I. Cards.

 
REFUNDS
 

i)  Fee including annual fee once deposited shall not be refunded.

ii) Boarding fee will not be refunded for running quarter instalment and half amount of the next quarter instalment of the boarding fee will be charged in case of withdrawal that is with drawal till quarter ending 30th Sept. For any withdrawals after 30th Sept. full boarding fee will be charged.

iii)  a)   Boarders seeking admission during summer vacation till 30th Sept. will pay half of Ist instalment and full IInd instalment

      b)  Boarders seeking admission after 30th Sept. will pay half of Ist and IInd  instalment and full IIIrd instalment.

iv)  Caution money will be refunded only after submission of no dues clearance certificate from all departments within one year of leaving school after which no claim of caution money will be entertained.

 
RULES IN THE SCHOOL
 
Following rules are applicable in the School:
 
  • * Mobile Phones /Pagers / pen drives/ sim cards/ Music players / CD/ DVD/ I-Pod / Laptops/ Bluetooth devices/ or any sort of electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited in the campus for students.
  • * Eatables of any kinds from outside are not allowed.
  • * Students need not to carry cash/ any valuable items with them. The school is not responsible for goods/ money lost.
  • * Should you find anything, deposit the same to the BURSAR.
  • * Do not do anything derogatory to your self - respect.
  • * Avoid vulgarity in talk and behaviour.
  • * Boarding house and residential area are out of bounds for day scholars.
  • * No student should scribble or disfigure the desk /chairs /damage any school furniture / property otherwise fine shall be recovered from individual / group of students.
  • * 90% attendance is compulsory for all students.
  • * No student will be allowed into the school campus after the prescribed time.
  • * Students coming late to school will be sent back.
  • * All students should come in proper school uniform.
  • * Meeting time to the principal is between 10.00am to 11.00 am only.
